Wrapping Up

During these past few days since class ended, we have been exploring and wrapping up our trip. On Friday we visited the British Museum and saw the Rosetta Stone, Cleopatra’s mummy and Egyptian artifacts. If we had stayed longer, we would have explored more of the museum. If you have time, it’s a really cool museum.

On Friday night, we had a picnic in Hyde Park with our classmates and professor. We had snack food, chicken, cake and cookies. It was fun to spend time with everyone and make our last few memories together.

Today, Maureen and I ate lunch at Burger and Lobster. It was SO good. There isn’t a paper menu because you either order a burger, a lobster or a lobster roll. We got the lobster roll and it comes with salad and fries. Each meal is £20. It’s a bit pricey but totally worth it. There’s a location in NYC if you want to try it!

Tonight, we went to Westminster to see Big Ben and the London Eye at night. It was beautiful to say the least, and it was a great way to end our trip.

Although I’m excited to come home, I’m going to miss London and the beautiful architecture. It was definitely an experience I’ll never forget and was a great way to end our last summer as undergrads before we graduate in December.

We’ll be heading to Heathrow at 5:35 a.m. via the bus (N9 route) from the stop right outside our flat. Our flight leaves London at 10:35 a.m. and we should land in Newark at 1:15 p.m. (fingers crossed). I’m definitely excited to strangle – I mean hug – my dogs. I’ve missed them so much!

Six weeks and three countries later, it’s time to head home! Look forward to a post when we get back to the U.S.
